Running on the Singing Sands

October 4, 2010

This little sprite is running on the so called singing sands of a West Michigan beach. The sand has a high quartz content and makes a high pitched sound when a toe or a shoe is dragged over it. It sings.
This child is not touching the ground at this point however, and the sound of the waves and wind is all that could be heard at this moment.
The weather is unseasonably warm for September.
