Cougars in Michigan?

Cougar Cougar Burning Bright

Some people have seen their paw prints and some have taken their photos.  I painted a cougar that I saw in my imagination.  Are they in the upper peninsula?  the lower?  Have you seen one?

Other Great Lakes states report cougar sightings.

There have been sightings of cougars in Michigan’s lower peninsula although the DNR does not think so. Trail cameras, foot prints. These felines are stealthy and travel at night so they are good at hiding from humans.
