Snow Owl Weather

I took this photo of a snow owl.  I was startled when it flew right in front of my windshield and then landed on top of a post.  I went on my way and was surprised to see it still there when I returned.  I got my camera and took the picture.  If I had not seen it land, I would have thought it was part of the post.

We have a blizzard blowing in off Lake Michigan and ice has not formed yet.  If it had, it would protect our sandy beaches from erosion.  It’s snow owl weather.
